PAG is everyone's fossil club!
It's goal is to promote cooperation between enthusiasts and amateur and professional paleontologists to their mutual benefit, specifically relating to scientific research and education.
Our Mission Statement
PAG strives to promote serious interest and knowledge to the general public in areas of natural history relating to paleontology and geology. PAG also strives to assist in the preservation and conservation of Georgia's significant paleontological sites and specimens.
President: Ashley Quinn
Founder of PAG, Ashley has been the collections manager at the William P. Wall Museum of Natural History at Georgia College for 20 years. Ashley's paleontological interests include vertebrate anatomy, specifically Cenozoic mammals.
Vice - President: Dr. John Anderson
Dr. John R. Anderson received a BS in Paleobiology from Bowling Green State University, 1979; an MS In Geology from Bowling Green State University, 1981; an MA in Physical Geography from Georgia State University, 2011; and a PhD in Invertebrate Paleontology from the University of Pittsburgh, 1986. He has taught at East Georgia College, 1987 - 1992; and Georgia Perimeter College, 1992 -2013. He served as the Dean of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics at Virginia Western Community College, 2013 -2016. He retired a Professor of Geology and Geography in 2019.
Secretary: Jim Seufferlein
Jim Seufferlein is a long term PAG member who loves to photograph our adventures. His sons Michael and Christopher are active in the group.
Public Relations: Rick Spears
Having never grown out of his childhood Dinosaur Phase, Rick has made a career of building models of prehistoric animals. With over 30 years of exhibit design and fabrication, he has done extensive work to create educational museum experiences for all ages.
Treasurer: Michael Hallen
Michael Hallen is a long term PAG member who loves kayak and is very active in community clean up efforts near his home and across Georgia.
